Website Visitor Records
Our server keeps a record of requests to this website, including requests from AI agents, search crawlers and other automated tools, and a small script in the page records moves between pages. Pages used by our own team, and signed-in client portal sessions, are not recorded.
What every record contains
- •The page address (without any query string), the time, and the request method
- •Your browser's user-agent string, shortened to 300 characters
- •The website you came from (its host name only) and any campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) in the link you arrived by
- •A network prefix of your IP address: the first three parts of an IPv4 address (for example 203.0.113.0/24) or the first 48 bits of an IPv6 address. We never store your full IP address.
- •A daily key: a keyed hash (HMAC-SHA256 with a secret key) of the date, your IP address and your user-agent string. It lets us count one visit within a day, changes every day (UTC), and cannot be turned back into your IP address.
- •Your privacy choice at that moment, and how it was decided (see below)
Visitor ID, only where allowed
With your permission (or, outside the regions below, unless you opt out) we also set a first-party cookie, as_vid, holding a random ID, and store it with each record together with a keyed hash of your IP address. This lets us recognise your browser on later visits. If you then identify yourself to us (by verifying your email in the discovery chat, signing in with Google, starting a discovery conversation, or signing in to the Academy), we link that ID to your enquiry or account, so we can see which pages you visited.
How your choice is decided
- •EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: no visitor ID and no IP hash until you press Accept; until then only records without a visitor ID are kept. We estimate your region in your browser from its time zone and language settings. If we cannot tell, we treat you as being in this group and ask.
- •Everywhere else: the visitor ID is on by default, and you can opt out at any time.
- •Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: if your browser sends either signal, we treat it as an opt-out wherever you are, and it overrides an earlier Accept.
- •When you press Accept or Reject, we keep a record of that choice so we can show it was respected.

Retention
Visitor records are deleted automatically 400 days after they are recorded. They never contain your full IP address.

Opting out or withdrawing consent
Use (also at the bottom of every page) to accept, reject or change your choice. Rejecting removes the as_vid cookie, and later records carry no visitor ID. Turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or deleting our cookies, has the same effect. Records made before you withdrew are kept until they expire; to have them deleted sooner, contact us (see below).
